Andrew McMahon on “Television”, a track on Jack’s Mannequin’s upcoming album People and Things.
He wrote a song based around the idea of not being able to sleep without the television on.

Also, I cannot sleep without a tv/background noise of some sort (another reason college is difficult for me) so I completely relate and think this is awesome.

Andrew puts such effort and meaning into everything that he does. He has an inspirational and fascinating way of looking at life and the world (even if he doesn’t think he’s a hero or anything of that sort) and never does anything arbitrarily. Most importantly, and unlike many other musicians today, Andy just lives his life. He lives a life, and he writes about it. And the music that comes from that is honest and beautiful.
